I decided I like the 5"x7" format for commissions, plus it's a standard size that makes framing easy for the commissioner.

Here's the deal: I will draw characters in corsets, full colour marker or digital, for $50 on 5"X7" Bristol (for traditional) or printed on quality photo paper (for digital) instead of $75. Males in corsets, females in corsets, jokes about corsets, I will do it. Want two characters? Then it'll be $75 for the two characters on the same picture instead of $110. Keep in mind I go to "mature" rating, and do not cross into "adult"!

This sale will be valid until Sunday May 6th, 11:59PM Eastern. If I get your note by then, you can take advantage of this sale!

Amused at the balls for someone, with your abilities,to criticize publicly the work of an artist so much your better. If you are going to put a tracing over another artists work, then you had better bring something to it.

Downright disrespectful of her, if I can add my 2 cents.

Regardless of taste, Manara's a master anatomist after working in the business for nearly 50 years.

Just want to thank you for your workovers of certain artists and also your blog on the subject. Been a real help.  I also would like to add I do not see what the controversy is in that your work clearly shows how to do sexy right, and you are not profiting financially from the draw overs, nor are you swiping others artwork (Unlike one of the artists whose work you critiqued, who does that quite often).

Please keep updating your blog, as the quality is really helpful. Thank you. :)

She may not be profiting financially, but she sure is getting a big ego boost from publicly shaming and disrespecting a veteran illustrator by rudely drawing a barely adequate paintover.

Greg Land has been named and shamed for a long time. The Milo Manara cover is not his best. It just looks phoned in. And I find her work far better than barely adequate.

Even his phoned in work is anatomically accurate, much more than her paintover, which I think looks stiff, unexciting, and not that confident.

Without getting into my opinions on currently "controversial" images or my opinions on your work for that matter, PLEASE STOP DRAWING ON TOP OF OTHER PEOPLE'S ART and publishing it. It is disrespectful... and honestly YOU should apologize.

Especially when the artist she drew over is a veteran with over 40 years of experience. She aint schooling him on anatomy, that's for sure. The pose isn't even what she thinks it is. One leg is not bent as she sees it, it's trailing off of the roof.

Critiquing is one thing, but telling Manara how he should work and drawing over his work is more than just disrespectful.

Just wanted to say that everybody has all the rights to criticize any artist and art even though he or she is famous or relevant.

BUT...

when you go all the way drawing a "how to" regarding superhero anatomy, well your base anatomy and drawing skills should be impeccable or at least precise, even considering personal style and synthetism.
