Sunset Val 4 by Kanthara Sunset Val 4 by Kanthara
For the last book of the series, from writer Rob St.Martin ([link]), here's the interior and promotional art! Done originally in light blue colerase on Bristol, the tint was altered in Photoshop to get this sepia tone.

Yes, it's totally like the Raising of the Flag on Iwo Jima. It's deliberate. Hope you like!

Now go get the books! ;) Meanwhile it's time to dive back into storyboards. I'll emerge again in March or so.

Yes, Proud. Because I actually study the history of my country instead of pretending the time from 1939 and 1945 didn't exist or that nothing happened. I know that as soon as they landed on the beaches they saw no Japanese resistance, and set up formations for accountability. I know that as soon as they did that, the Japanese launched mortar attacks and Machine Gun sprays that decimated most of the Marines on the beach and more had to charge in.

The first flag fell when they put it up the first time. And when they got the chance. They went to raise another one. It was actually a mix of Marines and US Naval Corpsmen who raised it together.

I've talked to Veterans about this day. and I've ready many accounts of what happened.

I also know that you are a fucking retard for trying to tell me that something that had no real way of being controlled information wise was ever set up to be a propaganda fake. What you think the lunar landings aren't real either?

Mother fucker, I've walked the beaches of Iwa Jima when i was stationed in Japan for two years. How about you not believe every little bit of bull sit you hear from your fellow conglomerate of countries who hate America even though your own governments are full of high tide bull shit.

Fuck off. Sincerely A US Marine who actually does his homework on things.

The photo was faked nontheless. The power of imaginary, which is dominating modern way of news and information spread. It has nothing to do with the fact that the USA fought Imperial Japan, it is a faked photo, shot after everything was over. If you happen to know the image of the Soviet soldiers raising the red flag on the Reichstag, well this wa sfaked too, and even reworked late on, it was retouched that one solider got four or five stolen watches and his wrist.

And besides, its rather badass that the Marines tried to raise a flag during a modern war bombardement. It reminds me of the good times of Ancien Regime, its chivalric. However, it is too pretty dumb nowadays.

And seriously, the way you do insult me constantly and your swearing in the normal text corpus again convinces me that the US soldiers belong to the more generated kind of human specimen... Would explain all the torture, murder, rape and robbery you do when you are outside your country. Ah well. That's war, I guess. It is called "motherfucker" by the way, seems a foreigner has to teach you your own language as well.

you notice how i already knew the part about the flag being raised after the battle happened? Its common knowledge and they tell you that right in most history lessons that cover it. They specifically said that. They never said that It was a photo of what happened during the battle and that some idiot pulled out a camera instead of a rifle to snap a picture.

So there for the "propaganda fake" you claim it to be.. is still false, being that the story is that it was the second raising in the first fricken place.

No one ever said that it was the First flag raising in combat.

See how you're initial argument still holds about as much water as a bucket with buckshot through it? Do you see how I over reacted being that you said that the picture was "fake" and Sense the general knowledge that it was the second raising would bring to mind that you called the Island assault "fake"?

And no, It can be used both as a single word and two words together. The single word came into more use once the internet and chat rooms became popular. Nice try with back peddling though.

Your starting argument is still full of crap.

Also the troops raising the flag didn't even know their picture was being taken. Hence why a lot of them have their backs to the camera and you can hardly see any ones faces. Its not Propaganda. Its "we want to raise a fricken flag"
